Public Health

With an M.D. you treat the individual patient, whereas with a degree in Public Health, you deal with populations of people at the community, state or national level. You will be the one dealing with disease outbreaks such as West Nile Virus, or possibly bioterror issues.  Fascinating.

There are also joint degrees with social work, optometry, dentistry, pharmacy, and nursing.
