Post Baccalaureate Programs

Often a student may decide on a career in medicine late in the undergraduate program, possibly too late to really do well on a heavy load of calculus, organic chemistry, and physics, plus MCAT preparation. This is one situation where a post-baccalaureate (so called "Post-Bac") program might be the perfect solution. These programs are designed to fit all the normal prerequisite courses in a period of one or two years. Other possible resons for someone entering such a program include a low GPA, or perhaps as a way of improving the likelihood of getting in on a re-application.
