2007 First Dandelion Contest Winner - Jake Kreyling

Jake Kreyling of Physical Plant leaves a message on my voicemail while I am speaking with a student at approximately 3:45 PM. I return his call immediately. He is very excited, and breathlessly tells of how he has found a "whole bunch" of dandelions in front of Tavilla Hall.

I tell him that he should bring it to me and claim the prize before someone else does. Jake says he is not too worried about someone else finding them, since he picked them all, to eliminate the competition.

4:10 PM, Jake comes and claims his prize, a box of Thin Mints GS cookies, his favorite.

Jake, congratulations. I am amazed that the dandelions appeared on the same day for two consecutive years.
