   Dave Mathewson is an Associate Professor of New Testament at Denver Seminary. He earned his BA from
         From Colorado Christian University and an MA from Denver Seminary. Dave has a Ph. D. from the
         University of Aberdeen and taught for many years at Gordon College, Wenham, MA. His publications
         include Verbal Aspect in the Book of Revelation and A New Heaven and a New Earth: The Meaning and
         Function of the Old Testament in Revelation 21:1-22:5
as well as numerous journal articles.

 Dave traces 5 major themes [People of God, Covenant, Kingship,
    Land and Temple] through the entire story line of the Bible

        Dr. Perry Phillips earned a Ph.D. in Astro-Physics from Cornell University. He has an M. Div. from Biblical
                  Theological Seminary and an M.A. from the Jerusalem University College. He has taught at Gordon
                  College and has for years taught short term group at the Jerusalem University College.
        Dr. Elaine Phillips has a B.A. from Cornell University and a M. Div. from Biblical Theological
             Seminary. After receiving her M.A. from the Jerusalem University College she has taught there
             during short term programs for many years. She received her Ph. D. from The Dropsie
             College for Hebrew and Cognate Learning, and is a Professor of Old Testament at Gordon
             College, Wenham, MA where she has taught for over a decade.

                 Directions:
                 1) Make a "HebrewTutor" file on your computer or device
                 2) To downlaod click on the above link and do "Save As" of the Zip file into your folder
                 3) Unzip the downloaded zip file "HebrewTutor.zip"
                 4) Double click on the "WINtutor.exe" file to load Hebrew Tutor into a Win 3.1 window.
                 5) Click on the Hebrew Tutor Icon box, then click on the Menorah "Hebrew Tutor" to play the program
                  6) If you want it full screen: Alt + Enter and Alt+Enter again to get it into the small window.

                   Many thanks to Nathanael Warren (Trinity International University) who figured out how to
                         get Hebrew Tutor running in 64 bit operating systems including Win 10.
                         He built the amazing zip file.

Richard Alan Fuhr Jr. is Associate Professor of Religion at Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia.
He teaches courses in the Old Testament Minor Prophets, Old Testament Poetic Books, Inductive
Bible Study, and Hermeneutics. Fuhr holds a PhD from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary,
a Th.M. and an M.Div. from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary, and an MA from Multnomah
Biblical Seminary. He is a coauthor of The Message of the Twelve: Hearing the Voice of the Minor
Prophets and Inductive Bible Study: Observation, Interpretation, and Application through the Lenses
of History, Literature, and Theology.

        Dr. Allan MacRae earned his Master of Arts from the Occidental College in the 1920's. He
              earned a Th. B. from Princeton Theological Seminary in 1927 and an A. M. from Princeton
              university that same year. Dr. MacRae received his Ph. D. from the University of
              Pennsylvania in 1936 and is a scholar in Babylonian cuneitfomr, Egyptian hieroglyphs,
              Arabic, Syriac, Hebrew and Greek. He studied at the University of Berlin and spent 4
              months with W. F. Albright in archaeological exploration of the Middle East. He was the
              co-founder of Biblical Theological Seminary where he was president for many years.
              Dr. MacRae was a founding minister of the Presbyterian Church of America and was
              one of the original translators of the NIV translation.

  Dr. Craig S. Keener (PhD, Duke University) is a professor of the New Testament at Asbury
Theological Seminary. He is   especially known for his work as a New Testament scholar on
Bible background (commentaries on the New Testament in its early Jewish and Greco-Roman
settings). His popular-level IVP Bible Background Commentary: New Testament (now
available in a number of languages) has sold over half a million copies.Before joining the faculty
of Asbury in July,   2011, Dr. Keener was professor of New Testament at Palmer Theological
Seminary of Eastern University, where he taught for 15 years. Craig has authored 17 books,
four of which have won awards in Christianity Today. His recent books include Miracles:
The Credibility of the New Testament Accounts
(Baker Academic, 2011); The Historical
Jesus of the Gospels
(Eerdmans, 2009); The Gospel of Matthew: A Socio-Rhetorical

      Robert C. Newman is Emeritus Professor of New Testament at Biblical Theological Seminary,
      Hatfield, Pennsylvania, and Director of the Interdisciplinary Biblical Research Institute. His     
      doctorate is in theoretical astrophysics from Cornell University, and he has a M.Div. from
      Faith Theological Seminary, and an S.T.M. in Old Testament from Biblical Theological
      Seminary. He is a past President of the Evangelical Theological Society. He has done
       scientific research for the U.S. Weather Bureau and the Franklin Institute. He is a fellow  
       of the American Scientific Affiliation and a member of the editorial board of its journal
        Perspectives on Science and Christian Faith, and was formerly Chairman of its Commission
       on Creation.  He is coauthor of Genesis One and the Origin of the Earth (InterVarsity

          Dr. William D. Mounce (Ph.D. University of Aberdeen, Scotland, 1982) lives as a writer in Washougal,
          Washington. He is the President of BiblicalTraining.org, a non-profit organization offering world-class
           educational resources for discipleship in the local church. He runs Teknia.com, a site committed to
           helping people learn biblical Greek.
                 Formerly he was a preaching pastor at a church in Spokane, WA, and prior to that a professor
           of New Testament and director of the Greek Program at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary.
           Bill also taught at Azusa Pacific University for ten years. He is the author of the bestselling Greek
           textbook, Basics of Biblical Greek (Zondervan), Word Biblical Commentary on 1 & 2 Timothy,
           Titus
and many other resources. Bill was the New Testament chair of the English Standard
           Version

   Mark Jennings has a Ph. D. from Marquette University in Ancient Judaism and Christianity. His dissertation was
   "Make My Joy Complete": The Price of Partnership in the Letter of Paul to the Philippians." He has been a visiting
    professor at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary since 2011 and now is Instructor in New Testament at Gordon-
    Conwell as well as the Head of South Shore Christian Academy in Weymouth, MA. He has written articles on "The
    Veil and the High Priestly Robes of the Incarnation: Understanding the Context of Heb 10:20," in Perspectives in
    Religious Studies
31 (2010) 85-97 and "Patronage and Rebuke in Paul's Persuasion in 2 Corinthians 8-9," in the
    Journal of Greco-Roman Christianity and Judaism 6 (2009) 107-27.

  Dr. Craig S. Keener (PhD, Duke University) is a professor of the New Testament at Asbury
Theological Seminary. He is   especially known for his work as a New Testament scholar on

settings). His popular-level IVP Bible Background Commentary: New Testament (now
available in a number of languages) has sold over half a million copies.Before joining the faculty
of Asbury in July,   2011, Dr. Keener was professor of New Testament at Palmer Theological
Seminary of Eastern University, where he taught for 15 years. Craig has authored 17 books,
four of which have won awards in Christianity Today. His recent books include Miracles:

(Eerdmans, 2009); The Gospel of Matthew: A Socio-Rhetorical

graduate levels during summer months. He is the President of Africa Potential, Inc.,
a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering Africans for the service of Africa.

Values in Ephesians 4.17-6.9" (London: T&T Clark, 2008), editor (with Beth Snodderly)
of "First the Kingdom of God: Global Voices on Global Mission" (Pasadena: William

    Exegesis, and Commentary on 1-3 John
(Kregel) as well as numerous works for the Cyber Center for Biblical
    Studies such as Translating Jude Clause by Clause: An Exegetical Guide and other exegetical guides on Ephesians,
    2 and 3 John, etc.  His dissertation was published with Peter Lang: Early Jewish Hermeneutics and Hebrews 1:5–13:
    The Impact of Early Jewish Exegesis on the Interpretation of a Significant New Testament Passage
. He is currently
    an acquisition editor for Kregel Publishing and working on a commentary on Hebrews for Kregel.

  Roger J. Green received his B.A. from Temple University in Philadelphia with a major
in English in 1965, followed by an M.Div. from Asbury Theological Seminary, an M.Th.
from Princeton Theological Seminary, a Ph.D. in theology from Boston College, and a
D.D. (honorary) from William and Catherine Booth College. He began teaching in 1970
at Barrington College in Barrington, Rhode Island, and came to Gordon College as part
of the merger of Barrington College and Gordon College in 1985. He has served as chair
of the department of Biblical studies and Christian ministries since 1988, and in 1995 was
named as the second incumbent of the Terrelle B. Crum Chair of Humanities, a chair named
in honor of the dean of faculty at Barrington College for forty years. He is a layperson in
The Salvation Army, and has written three books and several articles on both the theology
and the biography of William Booth and Catherine Booth, the Founders of that movement. 
He travels internationally for The Salvation Army, teaching and preaching at conferences for
both ministers and the laity, and is the co-editor of The Salvation Army’s theological journal
entitled Word & Deed: A Journal of Salvation Army Theology and Ministry. He is
married to Karen Nordeen, who for several years was a nurse at Gordon College and
Barrington College.

This series of lectures is a tribute to this remarkable Christian servant-leader from
Ted Hildebrandt and the Biblical Studies and Christian Ministries Department at Gordon
College.
