This version is an attempt by Ted Hildebrandt to make a totally copyright free Bible version that is accurate and uses contemporary English built off the ASV (1901). The hope is that this version, because it is free and non-copyrighted, will be able to be used in the web environment in multimedia and web applications without the developers having to worry about copyright limitations. I'm also hoping my students will be able to use it on projects without having to worry about copyright infringement. This is just getting started and Spring 2008 the epistles and some of the Gospels were the focus. More will be coming shortly. Feel free to use these texts anyway you desire there are no copyright restrictions on it whatsoever. Enjoy and proclaim the Word of God in this new digital medium tapping its huge potential for the glory of God and the good of others.
